BelAir
100
The BelAir100 is a two-radio cellular LAN platform
that accepts the same radio modules as the BelAir200. It gives service
providers additional flexibility in designing carrier grade city-wide
networks and offers a more cost effective way to provide complete
coverage
for standalone private buildings.
More
compact, simpler and lower cost than the BelAir200, the BelAir100
uses the same management framework and provides the same wide-area
Wi-Fi access coverage of the BelAir200. It can be deployed in BelAir
Networks systems to terminate a mesh or as a mesh edge node where
the full functionality of the four-radio BelAir200 is not required.
The
modular BelAir100 accepts up to two radio modules and is available
in many different configurations. Each unit features a rugged outdoor
enclosure, brackets for pole mount or wall mount, a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet
port, one 2.4 GHz access antenna and one 5 GHz backhaul antenna.
A
typical BelAir100 configuration includes one access radio module
and one backhaul radio module using the integral antennas.
The
high performance access radio module operates in the 2.4 GHz band
and the backhaul radio module is based on IEEE 802.11a in the 5 GHz
band. Radio modules supporting other standards will be available
in future releases.
For
outdoor applications, the BelAir100 can be mounted directly on light
poles in parking lots or on city streets.
For
indoor applications, it can be mounted directly on a wall and project
a 5 GHz backhaul link to other BelAir units outside the building
or provide Wi-Fi access to clients indoors. Access that can
